We have all kinds of classes and events going on for all ages throughout the year.

Children & Teens

Summer Reading

Every year we celebrate the summer with specially themed reading programs. Kids, teens and adults – we’ve got something happening for everyone. Classes are divided into 3 age groups 5-8 yr olds, 9-12 yr olds, and teens.  Summer 2016 is all about exercise. So get ready to move!  The program meets Tuesdays and Thursdays for 7 weeks beginning June 7th, 2016 with the end of summer celebration on Friday, July 29th.

Lego Club

Drop in every Tuesday at 3:30pm to play with legos.  There are special tables for the younger kiddos to play with the larger, duplo blocks.  The bigger kids have base plates and accessories to create whatever they can dream up with the regular legos.  Open to all kids, even the teenagers!

After School Program

Join us on Thursdays at 3:30pm (September through April while school is in session) for library fun.  Once Thursday a month Ms. Tommie comes from the OSU Extension Office to share a lesson on nutrition and healthy eating…there are always treats!

Story Time

The library welcomes you and your child to a highly engaging and interactive story hour. Join us every Friday at 10:00am.  This is for 2-5 yr old children accompanied by an adult and is designed to help prepare you child for school.  The program has books, reading, crafts, legos and lots more!

We offer a variety of computer classes and one-on-one sessions to help adults learn about the Internet, email, typing documents, spreadsheets, and social media.  We even offer classes on how to use that new smartphone.  There are one-on-one sessions to help learn how to use the Oklahoma Virtual Library to download books to tablets, laptops, phones, and computers.

Veteran E-benefits

There are volunteers who are in the computer lab M-TH from noon to 4pm to help veterans with the online benefits and filing.  You must come by and sign in as appointments are difficult to make with the volunteers.  These good people are ONLY VOLUNTEERS so their time and efforts are much appreciated.  This is a joint effort so the library provides space and computers.

The library provides large print fiction, audiobooks, and movies for several nursing homes.  If you know of a nursing home or assisted living that would be interested in setting up this service please call or come by to see Reba.  Our Friends of the Library help with this outreach.
