Health Literacy Classes

2022-2023 grant cycle has been awarded!

Fall 2022  September - November

Yoga classes on Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the BB Theater
October 4, October 11, October 18, October 25
November 1, November 8, November 15

Zumba classes on Thursdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the BB Theater
October 6, October 13, October 20, October 27
November 3, November 10, November 17

Self Defense classes on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00am and Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30pm in the BB Theater
Open to men and women of all ages. No experience necessary. All sessions will have
instructional time before practicing basic moves.
Saturday, November 12 more sessions in December, February, May, June, & July

L.E.A.D. Diabetes Education Classes on Mondays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the BB Theater
A four part diabetes educational program for people with Type II Diabetes and their family members.
Learn helpful ways to control and manage Type II Diabetes. Receive recipes for healthy diabetic cooking.
A diabetic friendly recipe will be demonstrated at each session.

Charcuterie classes on Mondays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the BB Theater.
One time class to learn how to create the perfect charcuterie board.  Ms. Tommie will also show you
some healthy substitutes for the boards.  Class is limited to six tables, twelve attendees.
November 21  another class will be offered in December
