Last week is July 20-24.
We have “take away” bags for the kids this summer to help keep them busy and you sane!
Due to the overwhelming demand for these bags we are limiting the number to 100 bags each week and highly suggest you come on Mondays to pick up your bag as they popular!
We will post on FB when the bags are gone for the week.
Come by the library’s west entrance in June and July to pick up a bag of crafts and goodies each week for your child. They will be allowed ONE “basic” bag with crafting supplies like scissors, markers, crayons, glue and such. Then each week there will be a different themed bag. There will be displays inside the library with books and movies that go along with this summer’s theme, “Imagine Your Story” a fantasy theme.
The bags will have a reading log for you to fill out but there will be no competition this summer as we are focusing on keeping everyone busy reading and engaged. We are working on more coupons and goodies to fill the weekly bags.
We are back to our regular hours – Monday through Thursday 9:00am to 8:00pm, Friday & Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm.
We still have only ONE entrance open, the west entrance. You will still need to check in at the desk so we can get an accurate count of the number of people in the library.
We look to open the main entrance, and cafe area, by the beginning of May if Covid cases stay on the decline.
The Summer Reading Program is set to be our first “in person” programming since March 2020. Stay tuned for details.
AARP is here Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10:00am to 5:00pm. You will now enter through the library’s west entrance and go around to the theater to sign in and wait.
The library will be open for patrons to come in to use the computers (up to 8 at a time) and check out materials. You may visit the drive thru window for copies, faxing, printing, and any checkouts if you do not feel comfortable, or cannot, come into the building.
We will be allowing patrons to sit and read books or “hang out” for device charging or internet usage inside the library at this time. We will also be following the state’s recommendations for public facilities and our plan may change – increase, decrease, or cease services so please make sure you follow the library on social media (Donald W Reynolds Community Center & Library), check the website (www.donaldwreynolds.okpls.org), email (email@example.com) or call (580-924-3486) with questions or requests.
Staff will be wearing masks when interacting with patrons and the 6 ft social distancing isn’t feasible and there are now plexiglass shields at the circulation desk, drive thru window, and intake table at the west entrance. Computers will be sanitized after each use. There are hand sanitizer stations throughout the library and lobby. These are available for both patrons and staff to use after each interaction. The circulation desk and library will be sanitized periodically throughout the day. Check ins will be sanitized before being shelved.
